Mood: Chipper
Music: Radiohead - High and Dry

Woohoo!! I brought back my mood icons! More bouncy lil' purple blobs to amuse everyone! YES!!

Nothing picks me up like a gingerbread latte from Starbucks. :) Anywho, on with the show.

I love food. I think I love it a little TOO much, though. I just realized that more of my money goes to food than anything else. I once took a trip to Taiwan, and I kept a log of everything I bought, just to keep track of how much money I had left. For some reason I'd always end up having less money than I should have had. So first I'd panic and go on a rampage to destroy the thief who was stealing my money. Then I'd remember that I ate more than half of everything that I bought. :P

Anywho, it's bad enough that I spend mucho dinero on food all the time. However, things get worse when I happen to have expensive taste in food. Curse me and my Starbucks addiction! Damn me and my sushi obsession!! The following items are ALWAYS in stock in my kitchen, and replenished on a weekly basis:

Jar of nutella: $3.00
Pepperidge farm Milano cookies: $2.50
Large bottle of hazelnut-flavored coffee creamer: $3.00
My weekly Ben & Jerry's supply: $3.50

That's 12 bucks right there. Which doesn't seem like much. But then I think about how for the same price of one little bag of Milano cookies, I could buy 2 entire packages of Oreos!! And the hazelnut cream....why can't I just be a normal person and pay 50 cents for plain old creamer?? Noooo....my taste buds absolutely demand hazelnut. Bastards.

Gahhh.....oh well. What can I say? I love my food. :) But I think it'll be a little odd when I get older and I'm eating caviar while dressed in rags and living in a cardboard box. :)

[Mood]: Amused
[Music]: Coldplay - Such a Rush

'allo 'allo....just a short entry today, then I have to head off to the library to read all about alkenes, nucleophiles, reaction mechanisms, and all sorts of other organic chemistry-related madness. Anywho, I present everyone with this:

SAVE THE STICKMEN!!!!

Bwahahaha....enjoy. :)

[EDIT]: Oh yeah....click one of the play buttons under the picture of the kid...sorry, I kinda forgot to mention how to play the thing. ^ ^;;

[Mood]: Sleepy
[Music]: The Beatles - Free As a Bird

Blargh....exams have been killing me. But, by request of the other Cindy, I'll make a post. :)

So anywho, here at UT, they put out these tables wrapped in white paper outside of the library called the "slam tables". Each of these tables has a class subject labeled at the top. Anywho....so what do you do with these tables wrapped in white paper? You write whatever the hell you want about professors that you've had in those subjects!! Rant about them, rave about them, flat-out bash them if you want!! I thought this was such a great idea that I put up a "Bitch Board" in my apartment. My roomies and I all had exams out the wazoo in the past 2 weeks, so I KNEW we all had something to rant about. So why not put it in writing?? My roomie Lindsey bought a sheet of bright orange poster board, we posted it up on a wall, and bitched away. The sad part is that the thing was already HALF FULL in 1 day. Boy, looks like we had a lot to bitch about. :)

Anywho, just another random note....I had my first marriage proposal!!

cowboybone says: marry me.

Bwahahaha.....an online proposal....from CANADA. Just shows that there IS some love to go around in this world...haha. Anywho, that proposal would be from Ben. Go check out his xanga if you haven't already. He's got some pretty amazing stuff, especially his story about Jaye. Outside of Harry Potter 5, his Jaye story was my other major source of nonstop reading material...yes, it's THAT good. :)

[Mood]: Tired
[Music]: Greenday - Redundant

A late Happy Halloween to everyone! :) Halloween was a blast for me. I saw a lot of great costumes, and I just had a great time overall. I also had a ton of jaws drop. Bwahahahaa. So anywho, I WAS going to dress up as a Hogwarts student for Halloween. Sounds simple enough, right? Grab a schoolgirl outfit, wear a black robe, and carry around a broomstick....I coulda been Cho Chang! My roommates on the other hand wanted me to dress up like this:

Ohhhhhh mama. At first I protested.

Me: NOOOOOOO freakin' way.
Tiff: But it's so cute!!
Me: *rolls eyes*
Tiff: But you've got the figure for it!!
Me: Ummm...riiiiight...
Tiff: C'mon....NO ONE would expect it!!
Me: My parents would KILL me if they saw that on the credit card bill!!
Tiff: That's why you get ME to pay for it, and then you pay me back.
Me: *grumble*

Anywho, that went on for a couple of days. I also talked to other people about it, thinking they'd agree with me that it was just plain crazy, but instead, EVERYONE and their mother gave me a thumbs up. O_o;; And they all said they wanted pictures too. My only thought was "Goddammit". Then I started thinking "Ya know, NO ONE would expect it. It'd be pretty fun to shock the hell outta my friends just for one night." So I finally caved in and bought the freakin' thing.

3 days later, the costume comes in the mail. My roomie Lindsey hands it to me excitedly. I cowered in fear. I didn't even want to open the package. It was like there were rabid weasels in that package ready to eat my face off or something. O_o;; Eventually I opened the package and tried it on.....and I didn't want to leave the bathroom. I was thinking "Holy crap, if I don't even feel comfortable walking around my own apartment in this costume, how am I going to walk around downtown Austin in this on Halloween night?!?!" The solution? I just had to wear it around the apartment for a few days. So yes, a few days before Halloween, I'd come back from class, put that friggin' thing on, and live life normally just to get used to it. I did my homework in it, cleaned in it, etc etc. My roomie wanted to get a picture of me mopping the kitchen floor in the costume, but I ran off. :P

Did I mention that Deran had no clue? He still thought I was going as a little schoolgirl. Boy was he in for a surprise. :) A lot of my other friends didn't know either, which added to the fun. :) I walked into Deran's apartment yesterday, and he looked something like this-->

It was great. *grin*

Going down 6th Street was fun too. It was weird having guys hoot at me and stuff, but it's not like I didn't expect it. *shrug* Deran and I were even stopped by a photographer to get our picture, and random guys gave Deran high-fives because he had a hottie on his arm. ;) Some other lady told Deran "Whoa....stick with that one!" Bahahaha....good fun, good fun. :) As much fun as I had, I think the person who had the most fun with his costume was this guy who dressed as Hugh Hefner. He just walked around quietly in a silk robe and slippers, and girls naturally flocked to him to get a picture. Genius, I tell you! Haha, anywho, I know I was scared as crap about my costume in the beginning, but once I became more comfortable with myself, it was a ton of fun. It's good to let go for once. :)

P.S. I'm NOT going to post pictures on here. If you want to see, you'll just have to ask. :P

Mood: Perky :)
Music: Andain - Beautiful Things

Hoooly crap. I've got an organic chemistry exam tomorrow. But I decided to sacrfice 2 hours of studying for 2 amazing hours of hearing one of the coolest people on earth: Stan Lee. Yes, THE Stan Lee....as in Mr. Marvel Stan Lee. Creator of Spider-Man, The Hulk, Iron Man...you get the picture. I was seriously thinking of skipping the lecture, though. I REALLY needed to study for my orgo exam, but you know what? I went anyway and now I don't regret it one bit. I loved everything about him, from his big glasses to his adorable New York accent. He told a whole buncha great stories about his career in the comic industry and he's got a kickass sense of humor. A few highlights from his speech:

Stan: Back in the day, no one had much respect for comics. We didn't get much fan mail at all. Sometimes we'd get a letter that said something like "Hey, my comic's missing a staple and I want my dime back." Back then we'd hang those up on the wall and say "HEY LOOK! We've got a letter!!"

Stan: If there's one thing that bothers me about comics, it's teenage sidekicks. Now Bob Kane, the creator of Batman was a good friend of mine, but I kept on telling him "Bob, if I were a superhero, the last thing I'd want is a teenage boy tagging along. I mean, people are gonna talk!"

Bwahahaha....he was freakin' awesome with the Q&A session too.

Guy: Hey Stan...I don't know how I can thank you...my SAT score increased by 200 points because I learned a lot of vocabulary from reading X-men comics.
Stan: You could write me a check. :)
Guy: Ok, my question is this: Malcolm X was a black man who wanted to put the black people above the whites. Martin Luther King Jr. on the other hand wanted to put the black and white people at an equal level. Now Magneto, a mutant, wanted to put all the mutants above the normal people, while Dr. X wanted to put the mutants at an equal level with the normal humans. Was this parallelism intentional?
Stan: Damn right!

Girl: Hi Stan! You made a speech in the movie Mallrats where you said that you put a part of yourself in each of your characters. How much of yourself DO you put in your characters?
Stan: *clears throat* It was all the script. But I musta been pretty good at reading it, huh?

The guy can't get any cooler. :) At the end I stood in line to get my Spider-Man comic signed. There was this sad feeling of regret afterward, though. Here was Stan Lee, sitting right in front of me, and instead of saying something like "Dude, you're a freakin' GOD", I just mumbled a thank you and ran off with my comic book. Not that I'm complaining, though. I feel like I need to frame my signed comic book now or something. :) To put it mildly, Stan Lee f*ckin' ROCKS.

What the crap? Ok, so it looks like my image host is down too, so I guess I'll just have to go without those goofy lil' mood icons until things are up again. Anywhooo....I've had 4 hours of sleep, and I've got a sociology paper to write, but I just thought I'd take some time out to share the fuzziness:

PANDA CAM!!!

Bwahahaa.....too cute. ^_^ It makes me want to steal that little critter from the San Diego zoo...awwwww.

OKy doky, I've got work to do. The weekend couldn't come sooner. Ciao.
